Mark you calendars for the on Saturday September 15th. This fun event is held in and around the town of Meyers, 4 miles outside South Lake Tahoe.  Get out and climb, meet other members of the climbing community, and celebrate the outdoor adventure lifestyle.  Beer garden from Divided Sky and local breweries.  Live music from Safe Haven Chiropractic and Food from Tahoe Bouldering.com.  This event is free to attend and climb.  A small fee for competitors: this includes and T-Shirt from Rise Graphics, Lunch from Bob Dog Pizza.  Score the ability to win and score free stuff and cash!  While supporting the Access Fund and Local Tahoe Charities. 
   

Competition

Some of the best developed climbing in South Lake Tahoe is on the numerous granite boulders scattered throughout the community of Meyers.  Over 100 climbs will be included in the contest ranging from 5.6 to V12 and beyond.  Limited guides will be included in the competition format.  Follow local groups to new and exclusive areas, and even climb new problems. 

We have specifically designed the contest for all ability levels.  To make this event fun for the beginner or the pro.  This includes friends and spectators. It's a great excuse to pull, push and cheer while climbers test there ability on the scenic granite boulders.

Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in all divisions and categories.

Festival

The climbing festival starts at 4pm.  Get some food, check out some climbing booths and meet the athletes.  Listen to great music and hang out in the beer garden.  The awards ceremony will happen from 4pm-5pm with a bouldering dyno competition at 5pm.  After party will be at the Divided Sky with more live music and drink specials.

The Meyers Climbing Festival is a friendly competition and numerous prizes will be given out to participants in all divisions and categories. Below is a list to help everybody stay on track and have a good time. We hope to see you out there!
  • Adult entry fee: $35 (includes lunch & t-shirt).
  • Youth entry fee: $25 ( 17 & younger) (includes lunch & t-shirt)
  • Pre-registration is encouraged and appreciated.
  • Registration in Meyers opens at 9 AM 
  • Pre competition meeting at 10 AM at the registration area.
  • Lunch will be served around noon.
  • Competition ends at 4 PM.
  • Prizes and awards will be given out at the registration area around 5 PM.
  • There are 3 Divisions in Two Classes (male and female):
    • Recreation  VB-V3 (including Youth)
    • Intermediate (V6 & under)
    • Open (V6 & Above)
  • Each competitor is responsible for filling out & tallying their score card. Score cards are based on the honor system.
  • Prizes will be awarded for two categories
    • Top scores for each division
    • Accumulative points for each division
  • Bouldering pads are required!

Directions:

Meyers Climbing Festival is located in beautiful downtown Meyers, CA, 4 miles west of South Lake Tahoe, in the West Gate Building. Between the Safe Haven Chiropractic and Divided Sky on Highway 50.

From Echo Summit or Sacramento: Follow Highway 50 East towards South Lake Tahoe. Safe Haven Chiropractic is located on the left 1/4 mile after the intersection of Highway 89. We are located in the town of Meyers and right after The Divided Sky but before The Getaway Cafe.

From North Lake Tahoe or Carson City: Follow Hwy 50 West towards South Lake Tahoe. Travel through South Lake Tahoe then taking a left at the 'Y' onto 50/89. Safe Haven will be on the right just 1/4 mile after the agricultural inspection station in Meyers. We are just after the Getaway Cafe before the Divided Sky.
